| Clay Conley gets Beard nod, opens new restaurant. Busy month. |
Imoto, which translates into "little sister," is located next door to Conley's Buccan, technically sharing the same 350 S. County Road address in Palm Beach. This younger sibling offers small plates and sushi from chefs Kazu Yonemoto and Masa Tsuruga.
Small plates include rock shrimp tempura with spicy aioli ($14), pork spring rolls with Thai basil ($7), Peking duck tacos with plum sauce and sesame carrots ($17.50), and pork belly sliders with pickled daikon ($7).
Sushi rolls include eel and avocado ($15), shrimp tempura with spicy aioli ($14), grilled beef short rib with kalbi, kimchee, sesame, and bibb lettuce ($14), spicy tuna ($12), and, of course, a California roll ($12).
Hot dishes feature some classic American dishes with a touch of Asian flavors like the fillet of beef with black pepper and lemongrass ($28), swordfish "Oscar" with a soy peanut glaze ($38), and a lamb chop with brown sugar, soy, chilies, and carrot purée ($12).
Imoto is open Monday through Saturday for dinner only.
