Round Two: Delray Versus Lauderdale and West Palm/Lake Worth Versus Western Broward
And now it's on to the final four. It just so happens that the two best food towns from Broward County now face off against the two best of Palm Beach County. Cast your vote in the poll below.
But first, the results from the past week:
Delray Beach: 861 votes
Pompano/Deerfield: 299 votes
The city that boasts Atlantic Avenue's great dining scene managed a big win over Pompano/Deerfield, even though the loser in that face-off managed to collect the second-highest number of votes in the contest.
West Palm Beach/Lake Worth: 134 votes
Wilton Manors: 111 votes
It seems Wilton Drive just couldn't compete with Clematis, CityPlace, and downtown Lake Worth.
Fort Lauderdale: 85 votes
Boca Raton: 81 votes
Boca Raton led most of the week, with Fort Lauderdale eking out a victory in the end by just four votes.
Western Broward: 27 votes
Hollywood: 24 votes
Not a lot of you voted in this contest, and western Broward, with its plethora of great ethnic dining, surely goes into round two as the underdog.
So here then is our second round: Delray Beach versus Fort Lauderdale, and western Broward versus West Palm Beach/Lake Worth. The winners of this weeklong contest will land in our final round next week, with the winner to be declared on this blog and in the New Times print edition on February 23.
