For months, there have been rumored and rescheduled opening dates, but at long last, Rocco's Tacos and Tequila Bar will open its Palm Beach Gardens restaurant. Get a peek this Wednesday with a grand-opening celebration open to the public. Find more details after the jump.
In case you don't get enough guacamole at Rocco's fiesta, you likely will have a chance to load up on the popular snack during the gluttonous nonholiday holiday known as Super Bowl Sunday, since most every bar in South Florida is sure to let you celebrate in one way or another.

Grand Opening of Rocco's Tacos and Tequila Bar in Palm Beach Gardens -- At long last, the Palm Beach Gardens edition of Rocco's Tacos and Tequila Bar will open its doors with a party from 7 to 10 p.m. If you're familiar with owner Rocco Mangel, you know that anytime he's on the bar doing his Tequila Dance, patrons get a free shot of Patrón. The new restaurant is located at 5090 PGA Blvd.
Craft Beer Dinner With Holy Mackerel
-- Fort Lauderdale brewer Holy Mackerel will offer a variety of brews at a dining event from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza in Coral Springs
. The cost is $30, which will buy four courses with dishes like mozzarella and tomato salad and a variety of pizza. Call 954-340-2625 to reserve a spot.
Deli Making and Knish Tasting
-- Learn all about the art of the deli sandwich and the knish at this mixer hosted by Jewish Social. The casual class will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at David's East Side Deli in North Palm Beach. The cost is $17 per person, no supplies necessary. Register and pay online
Drink beer to help dogs
-- World of Beer in Wellington
will host a "yappy hour" from 6 to 9 p.m. sponsored by Seadog Blue Paw. Half of the money from Seadog sales during that time will benefit the National Canine Cancer Foundation, and well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome to chill with their owners on the patio. Munchies provided by Moe's Southwest Grill.
Super Bowl appetizer and beer tasting
-- Whole Foods Market in Boca Raton
will host an app and beer tasting with the intention of providing you with ideas to serve at your own Super Bowl blow-out this Sunday. The tasting is 6:30 to 8 p.m. and the cost is $10 per person. Call 561-447-0000.
