Newsworthy Cafe for a Working Meal

From the owners of the Triton comes Newsworthy Cafe. This Spartan breakfast and lunch spot is created as a haven for journalists, created by the folks who write the newsletter for boat captains and crews. With all these hardcopies laying around, it's the place to go for some newspaper nostalgia and a working meal.

Breakfast is served until 10:30 a.m., with standards like bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant for $5.50. The diversion is the English breakfast with bangers, tomatoes, and eggs for $5.50. Lunch is an abbreviated menu, with a daily sandwich, soup, and salad. The smart choice is a half sandwich and a soup or salad for $9, which yesterday featured turkey wrap and homemade split pea.

The place is worth the trip for latte that's likely made by Diego Baner, an opera singer with the Miami Lyric Opera.
