Prepare for dragon breath.

Start stocking up on Altoids, and mark your calendar for February 10 to 12, when the iconic Garlic Fest returns to Delray Beach, once again rendering the town safe from vampires.

The festival's Garlic Chef Showdown is like catching a live taping of Iron Chef, except everyone already knows the "secret" ingredient (hint: It ain't fresh peppermint). Some of the chef competitors for 2012 include Chris Miracolo of Max's Harvest, Tulio Castillo of Andrews Restaurant, Todd Holender of Latitudes of Sunset Key, and Anna Vocaturo of Café de France.

Meanwhile, G. Love & Special Sauce will headline the main-stage entertainment with a handful of other acts, like Andy Childs and Journey tribute band Never Stop Believin' hitting the stage throughout the weekend. Admission is $10, and the festival will be held as usual in Old School Square.

Buddy Guy was incredible last year. He was the best act I have seen at the Delray GF.
