These guys mean war!
The 49th-annual Christmas on Las Olas is tonight! Time to take a break from the mall frenzy (don't worry -- Target will have the same plastic crap tomorrow) and bundle up the family and friends.

Bundle up? In south Florida! Yup! Because tonight's forecast calls for snow! And cookies!

Tonight, Las Olas Boulevard will be filled with ice skating, snow, carolers, and Christmas cookies.

The inaugural Christmas Cookie Battle will feature three of Fort Lauderdale's best cookie bakers in a heated battle of gingerbread, chocolate, and butter. The cookies will be judged by a panel of experts... and you!

For a $2 donation to the American Lung Association, you'll be able to sample the competing cookies and vote for your favorite from these participating bakeries:

Tea for Two Cookie Co.
Tea for Two Cookie Co. is an online artisan bakery located in Fort Lauderdale. Founded by supermom Kim Neale in April of 2010, Tea for Two was inspired by the love of family, food, and a genuine fascination with human connections. Like many who love to cook and bake for others, the kitchen is the setting for the most memorable family gatherings. The plaque hanging in her kitchen reads "The kitchen is the heart of the home."

Cindy Made Them
A mother of three little ones, Cindy started baking cookies for friends and family. When her family became adoring fans of her baking skills, she decided to turn her hobby into an online business. Cindy Made Them specializes in adorable cookies in the shapes of bees, hearts, footballs, and (of course), gingerbread men and trees.

East End Eats
Located on Las Olas Boulevard, East End Eats is a small breakfast and lunch place that packs big taste into its menu. Baker Dominique Beckers comes to this café from We Take the Cake, making Key lime tarts, empanadas, muffins, and other treats and turning this café into a sweet place for brunch.

Christmas on Las Olas runs from 5 to 10 p.m. on Las Olas Boulevard from SE Sixth Avenue to SE 11th Avenue. Admission is free.

George Strait loves Christmas cookies (and we love George Strait):

But this screeching bimbo hates christmas cookies (isn't hate a strong word for a cookie?):
