We've scoured the internets to find today's selection of food news from the Sunday papers and elsewhere.

According to Good Magazine, Florida is one of three states with the fewest number of families to report struggling to feed themselves and their kin. At percentages falling between 7 and 9.9 according to Census Bureau statistics, Florida reports well below the national average of 14.6 percent.

And in the Opinion section of the New York Times, an editorialist offers her suggestion for what to do to avoid going hungry, though it takes resourcefulness and a bit of land.

More after the jump.
Speaking of Good, the site reports on a new app for beer geeks called Untappd that allows users to share what beers they're drinking and where, with an option for beer-porn pics. It also has a section on trending beers, the top of which today are Dogfish Punkin Ale, Southern Tier Pumking, and Spaten Oktoberfestbier.

In an era of belt tightening during which hamburgers are the new rib eye, less-than-photogenic dishes such as pastas, casseroles, and chicken nuggets are sexed up for the small screen

Over the weekend, Village Voice food critic Robert Sietsema was accused of being @ruthbourdain, recipient for the James Beard humor award in 2010. Sietsema denies it, and for good reason. In the meantime, the result of the accusation is meta in the twitterverse.
