Today is the opening for SpoonFed
, chef Glen Manfra's restaurant born from his temporary joint, the Pop-Up
Perched at 217 E. Atlantic Ave., SpoonFed offers
breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week. Though the concept is rustic Tuscan fare, home cookin' inspired by Manfra's family and friends threads three menus. Manfra nods to a Babeas' $10 Matzah Brei as well as a corned beef and pastrami hash at breakfast. At lunch, there's the $10 Uncle Veo's salad -- chock-full of arugula, radicchio, broccoli, cauliflower, butter beans, red onions, carrots, and celery. And for dinner, he serves Nonna's meatballs for $9 and Reene's creamed spinach side for $5.
The menus for all three meals are extensive, ranging from $5 to $16 at breakfast and lunch and $5 to $32 at dinner. It features a raw bar, pizzas, handmade pastas, salads, and veggie sides.
The space is warmed up with woods and textured fabrics compared to the pop-inspired décor of the temporary restaurant. Seating includes space at the bar and a patio. The restaurant opens daily at 7 a.m. and serves dinner until 10 p.m. weekdays, 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
