Dinner on the go at Arts Park tonight.
Did the hit-or-miss weather throw a wrench into your weekend plans? Truth be told, the forecast for this week isn't looking all that stellar either, but that's no excuse to launch into full-on hermit mode. Lots of fun things are planned for the week, from breast-cancer awareness and fundraising events to food truck gatherings and tasting events. Without further intro, here are eight food and drink events this week in Broward and Palm Beach counties:

Tonight:

Food truck rally at Arts Park -- A full two dozen food trucks are set to descend on Arts Park in Young Circle for the weekly food truck rally in downtown Hollywood. Among the Miami food trucks scheduled to be in attendance are Catered Bliss, Dim Ssäm á GoGo, the Fish Box, Latin Burger and Taco, Miso Hungry, Mr. Good Stuff, Ms. Cheezious, the Rolling Stove, and Sugar Yummy Mama. The rally is 5:30 to 10 p.m., and there is no cost to attend, though you'll need cash for the food. Bring a chair or blanket if you want to get comfortable while you dine.

Oktoberfest at BurgerFi -- Starting today, both BurgerFi locations -- in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea and Delray Beach -- will celebrate Oktoberfest with German brats and Sam Adams Oktoberfest on tap. Through October 23.

Tuesday:

Taco, Tequila, & Tatas Tuesdays -- Rocco's Tacos and Tequila Bar's droll take on the October fundraising blitz that is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month will include drink specials and all-you-can-eat tacos, with a portion of proceeds benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The weekly promotion is on at all three Rocco'ses -- Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach; sorry, no Palm Beach Gardens yet -- from 7 p.m. to close. Free shots of Patrón when Rocco himself is in the restaurant and up on the bar, dancing for donations.

Wine & Design -- The American Society of Interior Designers will host a tasting event at Store Self Storage & Wine Storage in Palm Beach Gardens with nibbles from area restaurants like Tabica Grill, III Forks Prime Steakhouse, and Pita Grille & Bar. The evening is 5:30 to 8 p.m., and tickets cost $30 in advance or $40 at the door. Order at asidwinedesign.eventbrite.com.

Wednesday:

Sunset Green Market at Glades Plaza -- Boca Raton welcomes another farmers' market starting this week in Glades Plaza, behind the Hooter's at 2240 NE 19th St. The market runs 4 to 8 p.m., with vendors selling fresh flowers, produce, baked goods, plants, and other assorted fare.

Thursday:

Full Moon Party -- Howl at the moon at the evening pool deck party at the Ritz-Carlton in Fort Lauderdale with cinnamon vodka cocktails and discount appetizers and a chance to peep at the night sky through a telescope atop the luxury hotel. There also will be a DJ and tarot card readers, with benefits from the party benefiting the Miami Dolphins Foundation's Dolphins Cycling Challenge. The party is 7 to 10 p.m., and there is no cover charge.

Friday:

National Dessert Day -- Every day should be a celebration of sweet treats, but if you need a national "holiday" to justify stuffing your face with chocolate and sugary goodness, this is your chance. There are, of course, many places to indulge your sweet tooth, but I will humbly suggest the chocolate-covered strawberries (or basically, anything) from Crossan'Time in Fort Lauderdale, rugelach from Le Vinois Bakery, 6322 N. Powerline Road in Fort Lauderdale, or the Key lime pie from Le Tub.

Food trucks in Delray Beach -- A team of food trucks will be on hand at the first Mix of Music for the Masses in Old School Square in downtown Delray Beach. The weekly free concert event is 7 to 10:30 p.m., rain or shine. Bring cash for the trucks and the cash bar; there's no outside food or drink permitted.
