Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi to Open Vegan Restaurant

Other investors include rocker Chrissie Hynde and entrepreneur Steve Bing. Hynde's Ohio vegan restaurant, the Vegiterranean, closed in early October.
Tal Ronnen, author of The Conscious Cook, has been named executive chef. Ronnen was a frequent guest of Oprah Winfrey's and catered DeGeneres' wedding to de Rossi.
DeGeneres, a known vegan, has her no-meat blog, Going Vegan With Ellen, in which she shares recipes and names other vegan celebrities, including Carrie Underwood, President Bill Clinton, Alec Baldwin, and Alicia Silverstone. Ellen's wife, de Rossi, is also vegan.
