Starbucks Barista Writes The Most Awesome Song - And Gets Fired! (Video)

"Poor me, feel sorry for me... I applied for a job at Starbucks and expected respect!  Why do people keep ordering exactly what they want, and get upset when I screw it up?  I am obviously a misunderstood genius.  My career with Starbucks was just a ruse that I thought the general population would 'get!'

And for this outburst of general apathy towards my employer and my customers, I lose my job?  Life just isn't fair!

Don't you understand that my general 'cleverness' and amazing sense of humor are my greatest attributes?  That's why I applied for this job at Starbucks in the first place!  How did my awesome intentions and lack of direction in life get so misunderstood?

Wow, that sounds so tough for you! Making coffee for assholes? Oh no! That must surely be so unbelievably stressful! Man, I hear doctors, nurses, social workers, and teachers whine about their tough jobs but none of that comes close to the abuse you faced daily as a coffee maker

A Barista is not a person who works at a coffee shop or Starbucks.  A Barista is someone with an expertise in specialty coffee.  Starbucks is far from specialty coffee, and as a Barista I take offense to these comments saying "True for baristas everywhere" and "You think being a barista is bad..." because I love being a Barista and it is my chosen profession.  I make a significant amount of money doing what I love.  It isn't just pressing one of many buttons and wearing a green apron with a shameful fucking visor or hat for minimum wage.  Calling Starbucks employees "Baristas" is like cheapening Wolfgang Pucks profession by saying "I know what you mean.  I worked at Subway for 9 months."

Sure it's true. But why is everyone surprised he was fired?  It's called "don't bite the hand that feeds you."  Stupid thing to do. 

If you think being a Barista is bad you should try serving.  Not only can people be conceded you know whats towards you but you also get to take it from them for 30 mins +

Reminds me of the days that I worked at Taco Bell... not just the obnoxious people part, but the racial stereotypes with what the people ordered... when I worked the drivethrough, people (especially the ones who had worked there a while) would guess what the people would look like based on what they ordered. Most of the time, they were right.

This isnt just Starbucks...it's anyone who works in the service industry.  I had a lady once who came in and said "I just personally paid your entire paycheck with my order" (she spend $150.00)  I wanted to call her a stupid bitch because I likely made more money than she did.  Its a simple misconception people make.  But...I just took a deep breath, smiled and said thanks...

 I make sure to tip my barista really well and ask how they're really doing if they answer with "fine thanks" I know what it's like to work a crap job so I try to make theirs not so suckish. Keep on truckin'.
