Starbucks Barista Writes The Most Awesome Song - And Gets Fired! (Video)

Starbucks - latte for puppets.
Barista Chrissizle is just a talented guy pumping out venti lattes for rent money. So he took that talent and wrote the most awesome Starbucks song ever!

Like most mega-corporations, instead of giving this guy a raise, Starbucks fires him.

Sure, the song calls out rich people and ethnic stereotypes for pissing away tons of money on overpriced coffees and sugar-laden cream drinks. But, hey! Isn't that what Starbucks is all about?

Personally, we love the Starbucks song, because we feel really stupid every time we have to pay for coffee with a credit card that carries 17% interest because we don't have a spare seven bucks until payday.

And we secretly know that when we order a venti-extra hot-doppio-skim-caramel-latte with whipped cream instead of foam, the barista pours whatever shit he wants into the cup - and we never even realized...until we heard this song and the dark heart of a barista was finally revealed to us.

Here's the pre-firing song (upbeat):
And here's the more introspective post-firing song (still awesome):

This is the problem with the internet and lack of understanding. It is one thing to sing this song to your friends or anonymously but when you criticize your job and customers (and Latinos) publicly you can, will, and should be fired for that. Yeah, it was an ok song but if you wouldn't sing it to your boss or a customer's face then don't post it publicly online.

"Poor me, feel sorry for me... I applied for a job at Starbucks and expected respect!  Why do people keep ordering exactly what they want, and get upset when I screw it up?  I am obviously a misunderstood genius.  My career with Starbucks was just a ruse that I thought the general population would 'get!'

And for this outburst of general apathy towards my employer and my customers, I lose my job?  Life just isn't fair!

Don't you understand that my general 'cleverness' and amazing sense of humor are my greatest attributes?  That's why I applied for this job at Starbucks in the first place!  How did my awesome intentions and lack of direction in life get so misunderstood?

Poor me..."

Fuck you!

Yep, sorry to say, I'd fire him ON THE SPOT!  Don't bite the hand that feeds you... Don't like your job?  Maybe you should aim higher in life?  Hmmm?

Best of luck to him.  CAn't wait to hear the "Ballad of the Deep Fryer"

everyone needs to work in the food industry one time and the world would be a better place. This song was awesome.

Wow, that sounds so tough for you! Making coffee for assholes? Oh no! That must surely be so unbelievably stressful! Man, I hear doctors, nurses, social workers, and teachers whine about their tough jobs but none of that comes close to the abuse you faced daily as a coffee maker

People still don't recognize an Internet PR stunt?  Getting fired was part of the plan if it's even true.

goes for a dunkin crew member too. Same thing happens to us.

A Barista is not a person who works at a coffee shop or Starbucks.  A Barista is someone with an expertise in specialty coffee.  Starbucks is far from specialty coffee, and as a Barista I take offense to these comments saying "True for baristas everywhere" and "You think being a barista is bad..." because I love being a Barista and it is my chosen profession.  I make a significant amount of money doing what I love.  It isn't just pressing one of many buttons and wearing a green apron with a shameful fucking visor or hat for minimum wage.  Calling Starbucks employees "Baristas" is like cheapening Wolfgang Pucks profession by saying "I know what you mean.  I worked at Subway for 9 months."

Sure it's true. But why is everyone surprised he was fired?  It's called "don't bite the hand that feeds you."  Stupid thing to do.

If you think being a Barista is bad you should try serving.  Not only can people be conceded you know whats towards you but you also get to take it from them for 30 mins +

Anybody notice that the guy in the first video has blue eyes, while the guy in the second has brown?

Reminds me of the days that I worked at Taco Bell... not just the obnoxious people part, but the racial stereotypes with what the people ordered... when I worked the drivethrough, people (especially the ones who had worked there a while) would guess what the people would look like based on what they ordered. Most of the time, they were right.

This isnt just Starbucks...it's anyone who works in the service industry.  I had a lady once who came in and said "I just personally paid your entire paycheck with my order" (she spend $150.00)  I wanted to call her a stupid bitch because I likely made more money than she did.  Its a simple misconception people make.  But...I just took a deep breath, smiled and said thanks...
