It's that time of year again --for giant beers, dirndl girls, lederhosen, and brass bands on the sixth round of John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads."

This Saturday marks the first Oktoberfest in Hollywood, featuring wurst, knodel, pretzels, and pork. Held at the German American Club (6401 Washington Street), doors open at 5:30 p.m. and music plays until 11.

Lake Worth's Oktoberfest (5111 Lantana Rd.) begins the 7th. At 5 p.m. Friday and noon Saturdays and Sundays through October 16th, festivities begin with a parade and the ceremonial tapping of the keg. It's the 38th year of this celebration, an event that attracts up to 20,000 revelers a year.

For a double feature, hit up Oktoberfest Hollywood and Lake Worth, both of which host celebrations on the 8th.

To prime your pump for the weekend's festivities, we bring you today's list: Five Hot Things About Dirndl Girls, the ones plying party goers with food and drink, of course.

5. The Hair.
Guys aiming to pull braids and pigtails aren't the only ones coveting them. Those of us who can't grow locks so lush lust over them too.

4. The Skirts.
The flouncy skirt draws attention like feathers on a bird. Shorter skirts lend themselves as lovely pairings with our next item.

3. The Stockings.
Whether they're black textured or white thigh highs, they may not be so traditional, but they're ubiquitous at any Oktoberfest event.

2. The Rack.
The rack and beer might just be interchangeable for guys at the fests. Regardless, when it comes to size-- like the ones on this milkmaid-- tradition dictates that they're both big.

1. The Beer.
If beer weren't the obvious draw, then six million Oktoberfest visitors a year would just end up at strip clubs.
