Congrats to last week's ticket winner, Tony Albano for getting wonky in his description of how to boil water:
I boil water which is commonly known as H20 in my aluminum (Al) pot to the boiling temperature of 212 Fahrenheit or 100 Celsius! (Fact:water boils at a lower temperature as you gain altitude (a mountain) and boils at a higher temperature if you increase atmospheric pressure (live below sea level). Cooking my wheat penne pasta for 480 seconds which computes to 8 minutes.Bon Appetito

If you don't win the judgeship, you can still buy tickets to Pairings -- they cost $45 online and $55 at the door. Deep pocketed readers can shell out $80 for VIP tickets that allow you in early, before the general admission crowds. Diners can sample eats from 3030 Ocean, ROK:BRGR, Yolo, Steak 954, and Bimini Boatyard, among other restaurants.
