We're not sure why not, because this free app, available for iPhone, BlackBerry, and Android phones, gives you the inside scoop on the best happy hours in South Florida. How else will you be the "go-to" guy or gal at the office for planning the end-of-week festivities and impromptu celebrations?

​To celebrate our Happy Hour Mobile App, we're throwing a (what else?) Happy Hour this Friday, August 12, at Mardi Gras Casino in Hallandale Beach. From 6 to 8 p.m., enjoy free well drinks, house wines, domestic drafts, specialty cocktails, and appetizers. For free. Totally free.

OK... there's a catch. You have to show the New Times Happy Hour App on your phone to get in. Just think of it as the secret password at some fabulous club, and you and your friends are part of the exclusive secret society that can gain entry.
