Dim Ssam a Gogo at Fort Lauderdale and Pembroke Pines Food Truck Roundups

Dim Ssam a Gogo looks like a truck, but eats like a restaurant.
Dim Ssam a Gogo chef/owner Richard Hales is a graduate of the French Culinary Institute who trained with uber-chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten.  He owns Sakaya Kitchen in Miami, which named one of the "Top six places to eat Asian-fusion" by Bon Apetit magazine. That's saying a lot. Why all this information? Because if you think eating at food trucks is a waste of your calorie intake, you should rethink Dim Ssam a Gogo.

The truck brings Hales gourmet Korean-inspired fare mobile. A few tweaks of the menu to make items portable were done, but the freshness and tastiness remain the same.

T
he menu changes daily, but expect such savory bites as kimchi eggrolls with ginger hot sauce ($5 for two), pork belly chili buns ($7 for 2), short rib chunk'd cheesy tots ($7), and ginger Brussels sprouts that are absolutely addictive ($5).

Two food truck roundups are scheduled for this Saturday, so bring cash (many food trucks still don't take plastic) and your appetite for a little food truck love. Dim Ssam a Gogo will be at both roundups.

The Broward Center for the Performing Arts celebrates their fall season with a food truck roundup Saturday, August 20th from 3-7 p.m. Live entertainment and a cash bar add to the festivities of almost two dozen trucks offering food. We recommend getting there early for a late lunch, as past roundups in downtown Fort Lauderdale have had large crowds.  Trucks serving include Big Kahuna, CheeseMe, Daddy's Grill, Dim Ssam a gogo, Dolci Peccati Gelato, The Fish Box, Grill Master Cafe, Guiseppe's Italian Sausage, Latin Burger, Latin House Grill, Mr. Good Stuff, Ms. Cheezious, Nacho Bizness, Nacho Mama's, The Red Koi, The Rolling Stove, Slow Food Truck, Sugar Rush, and Sugar Yummy Mama. Broward Center for the Performing Arts, 400 SW 2nd Street, Fort Lauderdale

Pines Ford Lincoln is celebrating the grand opening of their tire and auto service quick lane with food trucks. From 4-9 p.m. on Saturday, August 20th, enjoy food from 90 Miles, BC Tacos, Cheese Steak Gourmet, Chamos on Wheels, Churro Mania, Cold Stone Creamery, Dim Ssam a Gogo, Dog Eat Dog, The Frita Man, Latin Burger, Mangia Mia, The MexZican Gourmet, Miso Hungry, Mr. Chimi, Purple People Eatery, El Rincon del Coqui, and Snow Caps.
