BurgerFi opens a second location in Delray Beach.
BurgerFi, restaurateur David Manero's fast-casual burger and concrete concept, opened its second location in Delray Beach.

The restaurant, located on Ocean Boulevard, has the same concept as the first BurgerFi restaurant, in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, but is larger, which makes it poised to serve beachgoers ready for a meal or custard after a long day of sunning and body surfing.

Like the original, the Delray Beach BurgerFi is designed by Lynn Manero, with furnishings made from recycled and repurposed materials.

BurgerFi serves naturally grown, antibiotic- and hormone-free, age- and humane-certified beef burgers along with a vegetarian option. The simple menu also features a selection of "hipster dogs," fries and onion rings, and house-made custards and concretes. Craft beer and wines by the glass are also available.

Try an item from the "secret menu," filled with "off-the-menu" combos and items (which might be the worst-kept secret, since it's posted on their website).

To celebrate the Delray Beach grand opening, two special custard-of-the-month flavors are highlighted. The Twinkie Star is made with real Twinkies, and Death by Chocolate is decadent and rich.

This is the start of Manero's "burgerfication" of the nation, with two additional BurgerFis, in CityPlace and Connecticut, planned for a January 2010 opening.

BurgerFi is open daily from 11 to 1 a.m.

BurgerFi, 6 S. Ocean Blvd., Delray Beach.

Is there nothing better to write about?

recycled steel? I guess. The inside is mostly metal.

Why just parrot the marketing materials? It's such a waste of everyone's time.
