The Great Shop Showdown Wants to Give You a Store

We want to have our own cheese store....what about you?

The West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority is hosting the Great Shop Showdown -- and the prize is your very own shop on Clematis Street, rent-free for a year. Since you're going to need help getting a successful shop in business, the prize also includes a one-year advertising package, including a PR campaign, a business loan (to buy your cheese and gadgets), and a one-year membership with the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches.

Sound great? The first thing you'll have to do is to produce and submit a 30- to 60-second video on what your shop will be and why you should win (as always, creativity and begging helps), via Facebook. Find all the rules here.

Here are some people who opened a Mexican candy and piñata shop -- we don't have one of these on Clematis Street... yet!
