Free BBQ Thursday for Grand Opening of Smokehouse Grille & Wingery in Boca

​Smokehouse Grille & Wingery uses the same smokers as those seen on TLC's BBQ Pitmasters, according to chef and cofounder Mark Uffer.

Uffer, a chef for more than 17 years, worked between City Cellar Grill locations in West Palm Beach and Michigan before opening his own place.

The first Smokehouse Grille location opened at 2257 N. Federal Highway about a year ago in Boca Raton. It is marketed as the only "authentic" BBQ joint in Boca Raton.

This Thursday, Uffer and his team will host a grand-opening event at their new location on 9908 Yamato Road in West Boca.

From 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Smokehouse BBQ will give away generous BBQ samplers -- three smoked wings and choice of either two St. Louis or baby back ribs -- free to all. Live music and beer- and winetastings complement the grub.
