When Kevin Gillespie hits Boca Raton for a Thursday-night cooking demo at Publix Apron's Cooking School, celeb chef fanatics and Top Chef devotees will get a chance to rub tattooed shoulders (or forearms, as it were) with one of the finalists from the much-loved pressure-cooker TV show.
Attendees at the demo can expect Gillespie -- a finalist in season six and winner of "Fan Favorite" -- to stick to the refrain for which he became known; keep it local, fresh, organic, and interesting. The pork-fan-friendly menu for the 6:30 p.m. event includes corn-bread pancakes with bacon-basil mayo, mojo marinated grilled pork steak, sweet corn seasoned with lime and jalapeño, and the insanely cool-sounding grilled pineapple cobbler.
