Food Trucks Invade Sunrise This Weekend

As promised, we'll profile different food trucks from time to time. Today, we'll get acquainted with Slow Food Truck. Co-owners Oren Bass and Zachary Schwartz met at Johnson & Wales University's Miami Culinary School. After graduating, they worked together at Trina in Fort Lauderdale for some time before the duo briefly were split. Zachary went on to work at Gotham Steak at the Fontainbleau Hotel in Miami Beach, while Oren went to Canyon Ranch, also in Miami Beach.
They joined forces once again to start up Slow Food Truck, where they serve up such delicious offerings as their short rib n dip sandwich, the Cuban Cowboy (Cuban slow roasted pork with southern slaw, mustard and swiss), and their famous Burgers. Slow Food Truck will be out this weekend at both Sunrise event locations, so be sure to try them and make room for their amazing guava and salted caramel and bacon cupcakes.
Sawgrass Ford will host food trucks on Saturday, July 2nd from noon - 7:00 p.m. Food trucks scheduled are: B.C. Tacos, Big Kahuna, Che Grill, Chef on 4 Wheels, Churro Mania, Dog Eat Dog, Frita Man, Guiseppe's Italian Sausage, Gyromaniakz, Havana Rice, Moty's Grill, Mr. Chimi, Mr. Good Stuff, Papa's ,The Red Truck, El Rey de las Fritas, Sakaya Kitchen, Sir Pizza, Slow Food Truck, Snow Caps, and Wing Commander. Bank Atlantic Center's Fourth of July Celebration will feature live music, kiddie rides, a parade and food trucks. 5:00 - 10:00 p.m. Trucks scheduled are: B.C.
