In an interview with the Associated Press  in Japan, Lady Gaga said that if you want to help Japan recover from its recent earthquake and tsunami disaster, come on down.

Gaga, in Tokyo for a benefit concert for tsunami victims, MTV Music Aid Japan, said that she's making a point of getting out and enjoying the city and its food and suggested her fans do the same.

"I can't say enough to people all over the world that the majority of Japan right now, Japan in general, is very safe. It's fine to come here. It's beautiful," Gaga said in the interview.

Though many performers have canceled appearances in Japan since the March 11 disaster and subsequent radiation threat at the Fukushima Dai-Ichi nuclear power plant, Lady Gaga said she couldn't wait to arrive in Tokyo.

"The most important thing, and the best thing we could do for Japan right now, is to boost tourism, and so everyone come to Japan and come enjoy the beautiful country," she said.

Gaga then sipped tea from a china cup, inscribed "Pray for Japan." She says she'll auction off the cup and donate the money to tsumani relief efforts.

Yeah right, like all of us commoners have disposable incomes. Gaga must have quickly forgotten what it is like living on a budget.
