Wow -- Fourth of July. High humidity, grilled burgers, fireworks, and paint-by-numbers patriotism, all on the same day. Naturally, as a summer holiday, it's usually an excuse for drinking. You can buy a case of Red, White and Blue and pound 'em with your brother-in-law, but what's the fun in that? Why not try a few themed drinks that are icy-cool?

4.  Coconut Mojito at China Grill, Fort Lauderdale Hilton
2 oz. Bacardi Coconut Rum
Splash of Coco Lopez Cream of Coconut
Fresh mint leaves (6-10)
1 lime quartered
Soda water
Muddle lime and mint together. Fill glass with ice. Add Bacardi and Coco Lopez. Fill remainder of glass with soda water and stir.

3. Colorful Fourth of July Cocktail
1 1/2 ounce vodka
1/2 ounce triple sec
1/2 ounce sweet & sour
1/2 ounce blue curacao
1 dash grenadine
Mix all ingredients, except grenadine, in a shaker and chill. Serve in a martini glass. Add grenadine.

2. Stars and Stripes Martini
Muddled blueberries
1.5 oz. SKYY Citrus Vodka
¼ oz. blue curacao
¼ oz. Chambord raspberry liqueur
½ oz. simple syrup
1 oz. lemonade
Splash lemon-lime soda
2 juiced lemons
Muddle blueberries with the blue curacao in a martini glass. Place a lemon wheel slice over mixture. Pour vodka, simple syrup, a splash of lemon-lime soda, and lemon juice in a martini shaker. Shake and strain over the lemon in a martini glass. The mixture will layer. Drizzle Chambord down the side of the glass. It will layer in between the vodka and blueberry mixture creating a striped appearance; garnish will float to top.
