Skip the beach and learn to make your own cheese this weekend.
Forget the beach and the BBQ -- this Memorial Day weekend is all about the cheese.

The Urban Farmer in Pompano Beach is holding a cheese-making class this Sunday at 11:30 a.m.

In this class, you'll learn the secret to making your own homemade mozzarella and ricotta cheese without special tools or knowledge.

The Urban Farmer sells various growing supplies and hydroponic kits to help city dwellers start their own sustainable minifarms. They also hold various classes on backyard farming and cooking techniques.

Tickets to the cheesemaking class cost $18, and space is limited. To purchase tickets, click here.
