Ales on the Avenue Tonight in Delray Beach

guided-pub-crawl.jpg
This week is American Craft Beer Week, which means there are a host of beer events each night through Sunday. Tonight, one of the coolest events of the week goes down in Delray Beach.

Ales on the Avenue is a full-fledged pub crawl hosted by a host of Delray Beach restaurants and Fresh Beer, Inc. Starting at 5:30 p.m., craft beer fans can show up and sign up for a night of sudsy excess at five restaurants on and around Atlantic Avenue.

To join the crawl, all you have to do is show up at Tryst between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. and register.

Registration is free, and will net you a wristband that you can use at each of the participating restaurants to get discounts on craft beer. From there, it's your crawl -- either stay with the group and rotate around to the different locations each hour, or strike out on your own and take advantage of the discounts at any restaurant of your choosing.

Each restaurant will feature a different brewery, with two or more brews on tap. In some cases, the beers are rare or special releases. But any way you call it, it's sure to be a great time.

Here's the breakdown

Tryst: Kick things off with $3.50 Oskar Blues beers, including Dale's Pale Ale, Mama's Little Yella Pils, and Old Chub.

The Office: Head out to the office next and partake in $4 Stone pints, including Arrogant Bastard and Pale Ale.

Paddy McGee's: Next stop: Paddy McGee's for a Victory brouhaha, including $4 Golden Monkey and Hop Devil drafts.

Cut 432: The Delray steak house will have Avery White Rascal and Collaboration Not Litigation Ale, a seasonal beer brewed in conjunction with Russian River. Good stuff.

Coffee District: The crawl wraps up at the Coffee District with a Shipyard tribute featuring Double Thumper and Imperial Porter. The Boca Beer Lovers will also be holding a meeting there, and Tequesta Brewery and Cigar City will be on tap. Yum!
