As a countdown to the upcoming slider competition -- Sips & Sliders at Sunset hosted by Las Olas restaurant YOLO April 21, Clean Plate Charlie interviewed chefs of the participating restaurants.

Next up is Chef Angelo Elia of Casa D'Angelo Restaurant. Although the chef is a bit mysterious about the specific plan for his first slider battle, he promises to use the best and most unique ingredients.

Clean Plate Charlie: The slider competition is quite exciting, has the restaurant ever competed in something like this before?

Chef Angelo Elia of Casa D'Angelo: Both restaurants have never been in a competition like this, we are all very excited!

What is your signature or customer favorite dish?

Our customers absolutely LOVE our veal chop gorgonzola.

Will the signature dish be used as inspiration for the slider used in the competition?

No, we are using something different.

What's your "game plan" to win the esteemed title of "Fort Lauderdale's Best Slider?"
 

The game plan is to do what we do every day -- use the best and most unique ingredients.

What can we look forward to from the restaurant in the future? Any thing exciting in the works?


Chef Angelo plans on opening more D'Angelo restaurants very soon.
