Yogurt Ur Way Opens On Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale

Directly across from Las Olas' long-standing staple for sweets -- Kilwin's Chocolates & Ice Cream -- is a shiny new place to alleviate your "Clean-Plate-Charlie-Sheen" sugar (not crack) withdrawals.

Yogurt Ur Way opened less than two weeks ago on the SE corner of 8th Avenue and E. Las Olas Boulevard.

Even on a late afternoon, the new shop was bustling with a crowd that seemed to be flocking to the more exotic flavors such as Red Velvet, Blueberry Acai, or Dolce Leche. In total, there are 18 all-natural flavors of frozen yogurt, ice cream, sorbet, and custard manufactured by Yo Cream.

Yogurt Ur Way claims the frozen yogurt is special because of strict temperature regulation. Owners say yogurt served at 26 degrees freezes heavier and won't numb your taste buds -- allowing for a more glorious gustatory experience.

Pick up a bowl, choose your flavor, fill it to your satisfaction, then head to the topping bar. Decorate your mound of sweetness with toppings like Chinese fruit candies (small beads of jelly fruit flavor that burst in your mouth), animal cookies, or raspberry truffle cups. Want something fresh? The bar also has fresh fruit options such as blackberries, sliced apple, and kiwi.

I enjoyed the Cappuccino Frozen Yogurt (100 calories for 1/2 cup), sprinkled with chocolate fudge brownie bits and slivered almonds. My generous portion cost around $3 (45 cents per ounce).

I think that the concept, quality, & variety are exceptional. The store is extremely clean & the staff very nice with excellent recommendations for syrups to top off your treat!

I have been there twice, both time with small children.  You obviously have to monitor children so they don't pour too much yogurt.  I loved the addition of frozen custard to the line, too.  I've tried other fro-yogurt places similar, but this yogurt is by far the best.  You honestly can't tell that it is yogurt.  The toppings are fresh & there's a great variety!  I'd go back again & again!!!

can you explain to me why i looked your hours up online, found them on your facebook saying you were open on sunday until 11, walked 20 minutes to get there by 10:35 PM this evening and the door was locked and the employee mouthed to me that you all were closed? no other site has your hours... i would ask you to post them so that i can be better informed next time i decide to take a little walk for yogurt, but there's really no need... i don't plan on returning after tonight!

I must defend the honor of this amazing new addition to Las Olas. I love the product and found the store to be extremely clean, and the staff warm and helpful. I was amazed at the depth of flavor, particularly the watermelon flavor. The toppings area was well organized, neat and tidy and I plan my 3rd visit tomorrow!

I would never go there again! The owners stand near the yogurt machines, like nazis, ensuring no one is wasting any of the yogurt. It is so annoying and uncomfortable. I would definitely suggest going to a franchise place, like "Yougurtland" or "Menchies" if you want a fro yo, Otherwise go across the street to "Kilwins" instead where you wont be watched over like a hawk as to what and how your doing/eating.

Ah, so it's like a Cold Stone but without the "cold stone" and the annoying employees singing when you reluctantly donate to the tip jar.

I didn't have that happen at either time I was there...they couldn't have been nicer.  And we had 6 children with us at the time.

EVERYONE this is a LIE! Yogurt Ur Way is a welcoming and clean venue that has only been open for three weeks and has gotten MANY MANY great reviews. Yogurista's dispense the customers tester and the customer decides on any flavor they would like and then dispense as little or as much as they desire.

KIM if you have any issues with Yogurt Ur Way I suggest you see me. Elissa, manager of Yogurt Ur Way.

I have been to Yogurt Ur Way & absolutely love it! I find the shop trendy & fun. The employees friendly & my experience meeting the owners was a pleasant one. This is the type of shop that is an asset to the area and is a refreshing change to typical franchises. I already consider myself a regular customer & encourage others to NOT listen to Kim, give it shot & be the judge for yourself. -Christian

SO NOT TRUE -- went twice and no one supervised how much or how little yogurt you dispense ...the amount you put in the container is what you pay for and am sure that's all the proprietor cares about.  Excellent toppings as well.. very trendy place. Will always return..... it's such a nice treat.
