​There's no doubt that people have a love affair with chocolate.  Chocolate is more than a candy - it can send a message of love of friendship, cheer you up when you've had a lousy day or just plain make you feel good. Next week millions of people will celebrate Valentine's Day with chocolate. Bet you didn't know that some of the best chocolate is hand made in Dania. Jimmie's Candies makes and sells chocolate locally and has two retail locations - in Dania and Wilton Manors. General Manager Rob Granado showed us around this real-life Willy Wonka Land and gave us some words of wisdom.

​Jimmie's uses two different kinds of dark chocolate to make their base. What's not in their chocolate?  Wax, preservatives or additives. Rob told us, "Food is a very intimate experience. We make something with our hands that you're putting into your body for sustenance or enjoyment". This chocolate shoe sells for $59.95 and is available in white, dark or milk chocolate.

​ Jimmie's motto? "Simple ingredients, prepared well, presented beautifully", Rob said.  All Jimmie's chocolates are mix and match and are $34.95 per pound. Everyone can find the perfect gift, from chocolate lollipops for $3.95 to a giant candy filled heart for $299. A 16 piece Valentine's Day heart will cost you $25.95 and a 25 piece heart is $36.95.

​ We asked candy expert Rob Granado what V-Day gifts score points with the ladies? "If you've been going out with someone for only a month or so, a heart might be too much. Stick with a regular box. If you've been married for 25 years - get her a big heart! She wants the heart! And don't forget that men love chocolate too, especially chocolate covered pretzels and turtles."

Nothing can beat the greatness of chocolate candies. I could it so many of those in one sitting. If you're a chocolate candy lover, you shouldn't forget though that by not brushing your teeth, you'll be having several cavities.
