Angle Reopens as Ritz(y) Supper Club

There's a new angle on Angle, the ritzy restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach that's been shuttered after discovering that its starched-shirt atmosphere didn't go over well in ultracasual South Florida.

The newly reopened, reinvented Angle is now a Slow Food supper club, embracing what the hotel folks seem to believe are two trends beginning to show some legs.

Exec chef Ryan Artim is sourcing as much Florida product as possible, especially seafood, with dishes like Key West pink shrimp, New Smyrna Beach flounder with brown butter and fava beans, and Fort Pierce golden tile with cauliflower and tomato chutney. Swank Farms greens, Black Angus beef, and Murray Farm chickens are also on the menu.

As for the restaurant itself, it boasts walls covered in chocolate velvet, ornate furnishings, elaborate candelabra, and a swanky onyx and amber chef's table. After all, it is the Ritz.
