His namesake restaurants will host a Half-Way to Cinco de Mayo celebration this Friday. It's a little bit like Christmas in July, only slightly less shameful. Why? Because drunks have no shame, of course.
And drunk you should be, after daylong tequila specials and dollar-off drinks from noon to 7 p.m. There will be random, free tequila tastings of the 225 varieties the restaurant keeps on hand, plus the ever-present DJ and mariachi band three-ring circus. Slip in some prize giveaways and you've got presents, booze, and music: That sounds like any good holiday to me.
