Restaurant News: Soma to Become Dolce Vita, Pastrami Queen Closes, Restaurant Solarium Wins Reprieve

​•    The chanting of "Ommm" will be replaced by the popping of corks come early December when Lake Worth's Dolce Vita wine bar moves from its current J Street location to the downtown space at 609 Lake Ave. recently vacated by defunct yoga studio Soma Center. In the works in the much larger space are a roster of craft beers, a small menu of tapas and more extensive wine-by-the-glass tastings.

•    Pastrami Queen, the New York-style deli in West Boca that earned a local following for its authentic deli fare and exceptional (at least by SoFla standards) pastrami, has apparently served up its last Reuben. The restaurant is reportedly closed, the website has expired and a phone message says it is "not currently accepting calls at this number."

•    Plans for a rooftop solarium for Buddha Sky Bar, an Asian fusion eatery set to debut early next year on Delray's Atlantic Avenue, are back on track after being nixed by architects in the city's Site Plan Review and Appearance Board. By a 3-2 vote, the City Commission granted the owners' appeal to build the glass structure, which promises diners a view of all the restaurants that can be crammed into a single small city.
