Halloween for Foodies: Eight Parties

Here's a look at some parties in the area on or around Halloween night:

Howling Upscale parties at Wild Olives in Boca Raton (Thursday, October 28) and Lola's, in Delray Beach (Friday, October 29). Costume contest, light appetizers, and drinks -- both for charity. The Mai-Kai hosts its Hulaween party

Paddy McGee's in Delray Beach hosts a "Fright Night " bash à la Irish bar on Saturday, October 30. Live entertainment, costume prizes, and more at the pub; no entry charge. Drink specials and giveaways, including a cruise. Call 561-865-7341.

Moonfest 2010, one of the biggest street parties in the area, howls on Halloween night from 7 p.m. till 1 a.m. on Clematis Street in West Palm Beach. The party goes on till 4 a.m. at Respectables, the Lounge, and O'Shea's Irish Pub. A VIP ticket is $30 ($40 at the gate) for free drinks and food served all night. Costume prizes total $1,000. Boos and Brews is Halloween night at Whole Foods Palm Beach Gardens.
