Casa Mia Makes Home in Jupiter

A pair of local restaurant vets have opened their own Italian restaurant in Jupiter's Fisherman's Wharf Plaza.

Roberto Cavaliere, former owner of Ocean Grille in Palm Beach Gardens, and Stefano Paggetti, an alum of Jetty's in Jupiter and Galaxy Grille in Palm Beach, have joined forces at Casa Mia Trattoria & Pizzeria (337 E. Indiantown Road, 561-972-6888).

The restaurant features Northern Italian cooking prepared by executive chef Isidoro Giorsetti, late of Alfredo's in Orlando. Among the menu offerings are pizzas from a wood-fired oven, house-made pappardelle with wild boar ragout, whole branzino sautéed with herbs, and grilled Black Angus New York strip with balsamic reduction.

There is also a mostly Italian wine list of 100 bottles, plus 20 wines served by the "quartino" (about one-and-a-half glasses).

Inside, Casa Mia boasts a lounge, a pair of dining rooms done in sunny earth tones, and an outdoor patio complete with water fountain. It's open for lunch and dinner daily, with a 3 to 7 p.m. happy hour.
