Boca Raton Wine and Food Festival Arrives Sunday
Cue dramatic music: Don't try to run. Don't try to hide. The Boca Raton Wine and Food Festival WILL find you. And when it does, it will rock your mother-lovin' world.
Ahem... sorry about that. We were just watching this dramatically scored promo video for the Boca Raton Wine and Food Festival, coming this Sunday at 5 p.m. to East El Camino Real in Boca Raton. The massive food- and winetasting will feature 70 food- and 50 winetasting stations, including plenty of local restaurants, chefs, and vendors showcasing food from all around the world.
The food festival -- located up and down El Camino Real just east of Federal Highway in Boca Raton -- will be broken up into seven culinary regions: France, Asia, Italy, America, South America, Spain, and the Sweet Endings Village (showcasing cuisine from the little-known country of Chocolatistan). There will be a VIP party beginning at 5 p.m. with a champagne reception, live cooking demos, and sommelier certification class sponsored by Morton's, the Steakhouse. Plus, live music from the Urban Gypsy Band and the Amber Leigh Band will play throughout the evening, while comers sip wine from the likes of De Santis, Palm Bay Imports, and Barefoot Wine and Bubbly.
How about the food? Expect a huge array of samplings from restaurants all across South Florida, including celebrity chef appearances from Top Chef Ron Duprat and 3030 Ocean's Dean James Max. Some of the restaurants include:
Ruth's Chris Steakhouse
New York Prime
Chops Lobster Bar
City Fish Market
Boca Lago Country Club
City Oyster Bar
Casa D' Angelo
The Melting Pot
and many more...
Tickets for the event cost $85 for general admission and $125 for VIP, which also include a special VIP afterparty and preparty, a gift bag, and meet and greets with local chefs. Purchase them online, or call 561-338-7594.
And prepare to be blown away... er... I mean, prepare to eat and drink.
