Steak 954 Introduces Affordable Lunch

​Steak 954 -- the posh steak house from Philadelphia restaurateur Stephen Starr -- might be able to make a mean rib eye or tuna-foie gras taco. But for a lot of locals, the posh steak-house prices don't exactly translate into casual lunch.

Well, if you've been itching to try the place without dropping a crisp Benji on a piece of Tajima Kobe beef, you're in luck. Steak 954 is now offering a host of affordable, tasty-sounding lunch options that makes a casual meal there a possibility.

It starts off with the popular "954 Burger" ($9.54), a beefy slab graced with caramelized onions and aged cheddar. Things get more interesting from there. The new menu will have items like a warm bacon and tomato sandwich (think a haute BLT) and a fresh spinach salad with goat cheese, apple, and hazelnuts. Comforting options like a barbecue pork sandwich with fried green tomatoes and homemade dirty chips round out the fare, which runs $10 to $16 -- perfect for all price points.
