Rocco's Tacos on Charging For Uneaten Food in All-You-Can-Eat Deal: Thems Was Jokes!

Last week, Charlie reported that Mexican hangouts Rocco's Tacos would be offering a summer-time deal of all-you-can-eat tacos for $14.99 on Tuesdays. The promotion, valid at both the West Palm and Boca locations, seemed like a good deal at the time. But Charlie promptly rescinded its recommendation of the deal when it learned the restaurant would be charging customers extra for any taco left uneaten on their plate.

Charging customers extra for something that's supposed to be all-you-can-eat is absurd. It smelled to us like a way to cheat diners out of their money unknowingly.

Apparently, though, that wasn't the case. This morning, Charlie was contacted by a spokesperson from the restaurant who said that the flier was, in fact, a joke. Well, not all of it, actually. Just the line about charging customers extra for uneaten tacos.

A joke? Wow. That's a regular knee-slapper!

Check out the flier on the right for yourself, folks. See the line betwen the part about tacos being "(3) at a time, max" and "absolutely no sharing!"? That's the funny part! It's pure comedy gold!

So just to recap: $14.99 for all-you-can-eat tacos. And no, you won't be charged if you don't eat them all. But if by chance you do, please tell Charlie in the comments field below.
