Sage French Café Pairs Dinner With A-list Wines
The menu created by Chef Laurent Tasic has paired a French wine that scored 90 points or higher with four courses, so you know walking in the door that your glass will arrive filled with an exquisite rendition of someone's favorite fermented grape juice. The meal starts with brie en croute and a Trimbach Riesling from Alsace (91 points), then coq au vin with a wine from Domaine de Mourchon in Côtes du Rhône (90 points). The third course is beef tenderloin with green peppercorn sauce and the Chateau Lilian Ladouys St. Estèphe (also 90 points), followed by the top-scoring wine of the evening the 93-point Thierry Germain Loire. Dessert is apple strudel. The cost is $59 a person.
