Roxy's Rocks on the Roof
The 7,500-square-foot space will feel like de islands, mon, complete with palm trees, waterfalls, bamboo, a gazebo, twin bars and 1,500-square-food teak dance floor. There will be live entertainment some nights too, as well as an extensive roster of mojitos and martinis to go along with lunch, brunch and dinner service, which, btw, won't begin immediately but is slated to kick off some time in December.
Doing the cheffing is the fucking talented Mark Lieberman, the guy who actually cooked the food that made flash-in-the-frying-pan Forte de Asprinio just down the street one of the most exciting restaurants in PB County. Lieberman's dinner menu includes maple smoked pork chops with pepper jack potato cake and caramelized apples and onions, Wagyu ribeye with baby bok choy, garlic whipped potatoes and cilantro pesto, and sea bass with jumbo lump crab, asparagus, spiced mango chutney and lemon butter. Weekday buffet lunches will mostly feature sammies and salads, while the weekend brunch will be more upscale.
As for the beer bash, a definite time hasn't been set yet (check here for details), but $20 will get you a commemorative glass and the chance to sample several dozen beers while Ghost of Gloria, Almost Joon, Ladies and Gentlemen, and 4th Dimension crank out the tunes and, if you'll pardon the expression, raise the roof.
