At about one pound per mango, the idea of schlepping around 200 mangoes up Biscayne Boulevard might seem tedious, but think about it -- the average dinner for two at Chef Allen's can cost you more than $60, and the fruit is in the midst of its season.
The ticket to a free meal is probably laying in your backyard right now. In fact, there is a good chance that all those sweet, delectable treasures are quickly falling off of abuelita's trees and spoiling in her backyard -- so why not take them to Chef Allen's? Know anyone else with a mango tree? Take those too.
