Street Party Marks O'Shea's Milestone
O'Shea's Irish Pub in West Palm Beach has been luring in the crowds with this perfect mix for a decade and a half. It's a two-time winner in our annual Best Of Broward-Palm Beach edition. This 15-year feat is even more impressive when you consider that O'Shea's sits on the sleepier, western end of Clematis Street, where it has successfully weathered the downtown district's many ups and downs.
Reaching such a milestone requires some Irish-style merrymaking, and the good folks at O'Shea's have planned a birthday party for themselves that might make St. Patrick's Day look dull.
Starting at 3 p.m. June 27 and running until the wee hours of the next morning, O'Shea's will close off the 500 block of Clematis and fill it with 15 bands, traditional Irish dancers, bagpipe performances, laser light shows, and plenty of beer. Open bars run from 3 to 4 p.m., 7 to 8 p.m., and close out the night from 1 to 1:30 a.m. Between those times, you can hit the beer truck.
