Lee Klein: Bert Greene Award Winner

• First of all, congratulations to Lee Klein for another well-deserved award. Mr. Klein's style is both informative and humorous and his reviews have proven quite accurate and have helped many of us expand our comfort zones within Miami's food circles. As for JJ, apparently being a douche bag has not affected your critiquing ability. I guess that all reviewers should write their reviews for the benefit of restaurant owners and not the readers. How friggin� stupid are you? We readers want to hear an honest appraisal of a restaurant from someone with a food background. My understanding is that Mr. Klein is a Culinary Institute of America (CIA) graduate and has many years of chef experience from which to base his criticism; two criteria that many of our other local food writers cannot claim. Add this to a writing style that attracts readers and I would say that he is more than qualified to write restaurant reviews. Maybe the New Times and the other local publications should only hire those like JJ, whose "years of reading Mr. Klein's reviews and proving him wrong" apparently gives him the necessary tools. Congrat's again to Mr. Klein and the New Times and JJ, maybe its time for you to get life.

• I really like Klein's writing and perspective. He's usually spot on. If anything, he's too forgiving.

• Lee Klein ??? He's just a failed chef. Reading his reviews over the years and going to those same restaurants proved him wrong. When small business owner are srtuggling to make it and do their best he comes like an Roman emperor and decides whether or not that place is good enough.... not based on quality but based on his mood. Lee Klein seems to see himself as the Robert Parker of food.... I got news for you...
