Havana Shout-out

Havana Hideout isn't hiding any more. The postage stamp-sized tiki bar, lounge, restaurant and generally cool place to hang in downtown Lake Worth hits the big time tonight with its debut on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives with Guy Fieri.

To celebrate, Hideout owner Chrissy Benoit is throwing a party. Food, music, videos, slide shows... It all gets underway this evening at 8 p.m. The former taco truck that's the Hideout's "kitchen" will be cranking out free samples of the dishes featured on the show--Cuban sammies, fish tacos, and what Benoit calls her "tropical shepherd's pie," pionono.

Don't expect the food to last long, though Benoit says her crew will be dishing as many gallons of salsa and chips as they can whip up before festivities start. At 10 p.m. "Triple D" comes on the Hideout's theater-type screen, and after that the party goes on until ... well, whenever it stops.

As Benoit says, "That's the way we roll" at Havana Hideout.
